Haute couture collections are, by their very nature, a cut above the rest. And for S/S 2012 it was literally the designers’ time to shine, with shimmer and sparkle radiating from many collections. Intricate details, the sophisticated glint of metallics, encrusted crystal and glittering sequins announced the re-introduction of radiant sparkle.

On April 15, 2012, it will be 100 years since the Titanic met its fate in the icy waters of the North Atlantic on its maiden voyage to New York. For the past three years, inspirationalist artist Dodo Newman has been working in partnership with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS on the extraordinary Titanic Commemorative project, an art initiative that marks this centenary.

The ARTS Awards, presented each January during the DallasTotal Home & Gift Market, is the premier awards program for the decorative accessory industry and recognizes excellence from retailers, manufacturers, sales representatives and designers.

Erickson Beamon showed a stunning collection made with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS for New York Fashion Week on Thursday. In addition to its jewelry line, the brand debuted its first ready-to-wear collection for Fall/Winter 2012 inspired by 1920s burlesque in Berlin. Guests were treated to a performance by the Citizens Band, a cabaret troupe featuring Sarah Sophie Flicker and Zoe Kravitz.
