People & Party Ferragamo’s capsule collection
wows Hong Kong

All that glitters is...crystal

On 3 June, Hong Kong was wowed by a fashion event hosted by SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS and Salvatore Ferragamo. The venue: the Lyric Theatre of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. The show: the unveiling of the legendary Italian brand’s sparkling capsule collection. The presentation shimmered with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS, including shoes and bags finished off with Ferragamo’s signature Vara Bows, plus the cap of a Limited Edition of the brand’s famous Incanto Bloom fragrance.

 It was a dazzling night!

Guests were drawn from the cream of Hong Kong’s glitterati, among them Andrew and Lumen Kinoshita, Mira Yeh, Candice Chan, Cissy Wang and Irene Wang, CoCo Chiang and Ingrid Chen; Georg Nussdorfer, Vice President Operations, SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS Asia Pacific; and Giovanna Gentile Ferragamo, Deputy Chairwoman of Ferragamo Finanziaria and Michele Norsa, Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director of Salvatore Ferragamo. Guests were treated to the first screening of the fabulous Salvatore Ferragamo Autumn/Winter 2011 advertizing campaign, plus a behind-the-scenes video of how it was made.

Twenty gorgeous models showed off the seductive ‘masculine femininity’ of Ferragamo Creative Director Massimiliano Giornetti’s sharp, crystal-embellished tailoring, while close-ups of the meticulous detailing on their accessories were projected onto a screen. The event rocked to music by Los Angeles-based DJ and Grammy-nominated songwriter, Andy Caldwell, in what was a tremendous tribute to the SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS/Ferragamo collaboration.
